Greenhouse

An important part of any growing cycle is nurturing seeds to plants which is where the Farm’s Greenhouse plays a critical role. To ensure that the Farm has the young plants it needs to grow produce for the people we serve, we use our Greenhouse to start seed late in the winter. Within this protected environment, seeds develop into healthy plants ready to be transplanted into the gardens, once the threat of frost has passed.

The Greenhouse also gives us one more way to educate community members about growing cycles and cost-effective methods to grow and maintain home gardens.
