Martha’s Food Assistance Program

We provide fresh produce, meats, dairy and non-perishables for our Montgomery County community. If you or your family are in need of food, please visit Martha’s.

Assistance Basics

  • Who Qualifies?

    Individuals and families living in Montgomery County, PA with an income level falling within the 200% poverty level.

  • What do you offer?

    Healthy groceries including fresh produce, meats, dairy and non-perishables. When available, Martha’s also has diapers, soaps, laundry detergent and feminine hygiene products.

  • How often and how much?

    Our program allows for 1 visit per calendar month, 12 visits per year. The amount of food provided per visit will vary based on the food we have in stock, however we aim for about 5 days’ worth of nutritious food to provide with each visit

Your First Visit

  • You are eligible if you live in Montgomery County, PA and are in need of food and goods. We assist families and individuals. Martha’s provides food to Montgomery County residents whose income falls within 200% of the PA poverty line, based on family size. If you have questions about whether you qualify, just reach out!

  • No appointment necessary, come to Martha’s food pantry during any of our listed hours of operation.

    How to Prepare

    • Bring a valid ID, and a utility bill with your correct name and proof of Montgomery County residence (Martha’s cannot provide services without proof of Montgomery County residence)

    • Ensure there is room in your car for volunteers to load in groceries

    • If you prefilled your registration form, bring it with you.

  • When you arrive, provide a completed TEFAP registration form (below) or have a Martha’s volunteer help you complete it on site

  • Step 1:

    • For faster service, complete your form at home before you come!

    Step 2 / Page 1:

    • Clearly print your full name, address and Guest ID# if you know it

    • Circle the total size of your family

    • List how many adults, children & seniors in your home in the top right corner

    • Sign and date at the bottom

    Step 3 / Page 2:

    • Fill out as much info as you can

    • Enter cell phone # and your specific shop requests (Optional but highly encouraged)

    • Read and sign off on our new rules

    Step 4 :

    • Bring this registration form, and proof of Montgomery County residence (Valid ID and current utility bill) to Martha’s during any of our listed distribution hours so we can help you and your family access the food you need.

  • Discuss your dietary needs with our staff and receive your groceries

  • After your initial visit, you will receive a guest ID card. Please provide that ID card at all future visits so the staff can look you up in our system and register your visit

  • Every Martha’s guest is eligible to visit Martha’s 1 time per calendar month, 12 time per year.

  • Every July, all Martha’s guests must re-register for pantry services by filling in the updated registration form and providing valid ID and proof of Montgomery County residence.

  • No, just come to any of our listed openings and we can sign you up while you wait.
